Bio
Jaclyn Fuentes is a visual artist and curator originally from New York, now with creative roots in the Twin Cities.
A graduate of the University at Albany with a degree in Fine Arts, Jaclyn spent over a decade immersed in the New York art world owning a custom framing business, founding and directing Galerie Protégé in Chelsea (right in the heart of Manhattan’s art district), and working as an arts consultant sourcing art and framing for residential and commercial spaces. After years of championing other artists and shaping creative spaces, she stepped back in 2019 to reflect and relocate to Minnesota. Now, after a meaningful pause, Jaclyn has returned to her own creative practice with fresh energy and perspective. Her painting, Conceptual Fruit #1 is now on view at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport through May 2026, and received a First Place award - an encouraging milestone in this next chapter of her artistic journey.
Jaclyn’s work is fueled by curiosity, experimentation, intuition, and the quiet thrill of rediscovery. She’s especially excited to see where this new season of making will lead and aims to create work that inspires others to nurture their own creative spirit.
